The Makollè show is an enchanting musical theater production crafted by the talented Italian recorder player, Lara Mbella, in collaboration with the charismatic Mexican actor, Moro Osito von Ropi.

 

This captivating performance features three unique acts: LiChain, FlyBaloo, and Bambara, which were all unveiled in the vibrant city of Amsterdam in 2023.

Each segment of the show intricately weaves together a diverse array of materials—radiant chains that shimmer in the light, playful balloons that dance through the air, and wooden bamboo chimes that has been used as a mask. What sets the performance apart is its infusion of African artistry, as the elements are elegantly braided together, showcasing a rich cultural tapestry.

At the heart of the narrative lies a poignant story centered around a patient confined to a hospital due to a severe illness, drifting in and out of consciousness. Through a whimsical laughter-based treatment that employs the transformative power of chains and balloons, the patient embarks on a journey of self-discovery, ultimately unveiling their true identity and finding healing in the most unexpected ways.
